ANTHONY GRANATO

OWNER/ORGANIZATION DIRECTOR

​Anthony Granato founded GamePrep Baseball Academy in 2011 and possesses an unparalleled wealth of baseball experience and knowledge through his playing and coaching career. Anthony was an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves Major League baseball organization, the Head Varsity baseball coach at Sacred Heart Preparatory for 7 years until, is currently the Hitting/Infield Coach at Skyline College, and is the National Infield Coordinator for Program15s New Balance Future Stars Series.

As a professional baseball player for 10 years with the Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies organizations, Independent baseball organizations, and International professional organizations, Anthony has gained expertise in many aspects of the game. Prior to his professional playing career Anthony was an All-State Junior College Shortstop at Skyline College, where he won the state batting title back to back years hitting over .500 in two seasons and earned a Division 1 athletic scholarship to Virginia Commonwealth University. At Virginia Commonwealth University, Anthony was selected to NCAA D1 All-American team his senior year and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Anthony has a passion for teaching, coaching, and preparing athletes for their next level of competition and life. 

RICH VALLERO

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR - COACH

Rich Vallero is our youth development director and oversees our all our programs for players 14 and under. Rich has been working in GamePrep since 2018, he was the head varsity baseball coach at Carlmont high school in Belmont for 16 years, where he brought 10 league championships, and is the most winningest coach in the programs history. The Scotts program set the standard for the PAL with Rich at the helm. 

Rich brings a wealth of experience to GamePrep as a former NCAA D1 catcher at South Alabama University, a former professional catcher in independent professional baseball, as well as being a Physical education teacher and high school head coach for 16+ years. 

CHRIS MIGUEL

LEAD INSTRUCTOR/COACH

Chris Miguel was a 4 year varsity starter at Sacred Heart Cathedral as a 3B/RHP where he was named the San Francisco Player of the Year in 2011. Chris began his collegiate playing career at Canada College in 2013 where he played for 2 years and received a baseball scholarship to Rogers State University, where he was named Heartland Conference Player of the Year, Heartland Conference 1st-Team Second Baseman, All South Central Region 1st-Team Second Baseman, and 1st-Team All-American.  Chris still holds the single game hits record for the Rogers State University program.

 

Coach Miguel spent 2021 as an assistant coach for Canada College where he worked with the infielders and hitters, while coaching 3rd base and assisting in the recruiting process.  In the summers of 2021 & 2022, Coach Miguel also served as the hitting coach for the Duluth Huskies (MN) in the Northwoods Collegiate Summer League, one of the top collegiate summer leagues in the country. Coach Miguel has worked with MLB Draft picks from the 2021 & 2022 Huskies seasons include SS Kristian Campbell (Boston Red Sox), SS Devin Hurdle (Texas Rangers), 3B Mike Boeve (Milwaukee Brewers).

 

Coach Miguel is currently in his 2nd season at Skyline College. He works with both the infielders and outfielders on both sides of the ball, holds the responsibility of 3rd base coach, and is also the recruiting coordinator.


LUCAS ROBINSON

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

Lucas Robinson graduated from Burlingame High School in 1999 where he played 3 sports, and excelled on the pitching mound. He was the ace of the staff at BHS in 1998 and 1999 when the panthers went to back to back CCS championships. After his HS career Lucas attended Skyline College, where he lead the state in strikeouts his sophomore year, earning First team All-Conference Honors, and a Division I scholarship to Marist College in New York.

After Lucas's college playing career ended he turned his focus to his passion in strength training and life coaching. He opened a Crossfit and Opex gym in San Bruno in 2010, where he began working with athletes and gym goers of all ages. After 10+ years of running a gym, Lucas started his own online fitness program Lucas Robinson Strength Training and began working as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Skyline College baseball team. Lucas's brings a wide range of experience to GamePrep with his training knowledge in both baseball specific training, nutrition, and health and wellness as a whole.

JULIAN JARRARD

HITTING/INF/OF INSTRUCTOR - COACH

Julian is a Los Angeles native, from Temple City High School, who began his college baseball career at Glendale Community College.  At Glendale CC Julian was selected to the All-State team back to back years in 2012 & 2013 as a 3B, Catcher, and Pitcher. He eventually made his way to the bay area to play NAIA baseball at Menlo College, where he put together a great season as a shortstop, hitting .330 with 22 Home Runs and 56 RBIs.  After his Senior year at Menlo College Julian signed a free agent minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Since his playing career ended in 2018, Julian has been working with players of all ages and levels on their physical and mental skills on defense, hitting, and on the mound. He joined GamePrep in 2023 and has been a great addition to the staff with his experience and knowledge in player development.


SEAN PROZELL

PITCHING/HITTING INSTRUCTOR - COACH

Sean Prozell is a peninsula native who began his high school play at Serra and later transferred to Carlmont, where he earned PAL and San Mateo Daily Journal player of the year honors. After leading his high school team to back to back conference championships hitting .367 and going 11-1 on the mound with an 0.79 ERA,  Sean continued to thrive at the plate and on the mound at the College of San Mateo. He earned first team All-NorCal Utility player honors his freshman year and Conference Pitcher of the Year Honors his sophomore year.  Sean earned a scholarship to San Jose State University, where he was a two year starter his junior and senior years.

Since finishing his playing career at SJSU, Sean came on board with GamePrep in 2022, and has been working with our youth and high school players both on the mound and with their offensive skills. Sean has a passion for coaching players and helping develop their competitiveness and varying skills sets.

TYLER CONDIE

PITCHING INSTRUCTOR - COACH

Tyler Condie began coaching in GamePrep in the Spring of 2023. He bring a strong playing and coaching background with him to the program, including experience in biomechanics, pitch design, and strength and mobility training. Tyler trained and gained experience under the tutelage of Driveline baseball in Seattle Washington. 

Tyler pitched during High School at Oak Ridge HS in El Dorado Hills, then continued his career at San Joaquin Delta Community College, and eventually earned a scholarship to pitch at Oklahoma Bapatist University.

JASON ZACHOS

PITCHING INSTRUCTOR - COACH

Jason Zachos played his High School baseball at Serra HS in San Mateo and later began his college baseball career at Canada College. At Canada Jason was a two way player both pitching and playing oufield for the Colts. After his two seasons at Canada Jason earned a Division I  Scholarship to the University of San Francisco where he was converted to a full time pitcher for the Dons.

Jason began coaching in GamePrep in 2018 and has coached both high school and youth players as a head coach and private instructor. Jason began coaching at Sacred Heart Cathedral HS in San Francisco in 2024, where he is the head coach of the freshman team and assists as the pitching coach for the Varsity team.

Vinny Bologna

HITTING INSTRUCTOR - COACH

Vinny is a local product from Calmont High School and played 4 years of Varsity Baseball from 2013-2017 as an outfielder. After High School he attended San Joaquin Delta Community College in Stockton to continuing playing, where he was the triple crown winner for the Big 8 Conference, voted conference player of the year, won the state Big Stick award for CA, and was awarded All-American honors his sophomore year. Vinny earned an Athletic Scholarship to Oklahoma University where he played in 2020, before transferring to Fresno State University where he finished his collegiate career. After College Vinny spent time in Independent Professional baseball in the Pioneer League with the Glacier Range Riders and Grand Junction Jackalopes.

Prior to his High School Vinny was on the first every GamePrep 13U team and stayed in the program all the way into college. Since his playing career ended Vinny has joined the GP coaching staff so he can teach the values and skills he attained in his time with GP and beyond.

NICK VICTOR

HITTING/OUTFIELD INSTRUCTOR - COACH

Nick Victor was dual sport athlete a Capuchino high school in San Bruno, where he excelled is basketball and baseball. He was a PAL All-League shortstop for the mustangs. 

After high school Nick continued his playing career as an outfielder at Skyline College in San Bruno, where he was name Juco All-American and Big Stick award winner. Nick Transferred to Chico State University to finish his college career and earned his degree in Communications. Nick has been a coach in GamePrep since  2012.
